  • Rack Mini Profiler can help find a lot of the locations where ActiveRecord queries are made
  • Check your Rails logs for CACHE hits in ActiveRecord
  • Look at how long your views and partials take to render, check out the slowest ones first
  • Delete code in your views till you find what is slowing them down
